This homeowner's existing kitchen already had plenty of storage as well as features that they loved, but it had become very outdated and no longer matched their style and aesthetic. They wished to bring the heart of their home up to the level that they felt the rest of their home was, and something that they could be proud of. Some of the updated features in the new design included changing the existing two-level island to an expansive one height island that allowed the kitchen to feel more open to the rest of the living space. The old countertops were replaced with Taj Mahal Quartzite for a clean and elegant feel. The clients were also not a fan of the white kitchen, and to match their style the cabinetry was replaced with custom rift cut white oak that was lightly stained, and custom black cabinetry standout features. Other new design features included all new honey-bronze hardware as well as a custom hood to perfectly match the new range. A coffee area was included off to the side of the kitchen that could be hidden away with the custom cabinetry, a new full fridge as well as two separate freezer drawers.
